Is it just me or was February a sucky reading month? From moving to the random snow Seattle had to just me being burnt out/in a reading funk it seems February was brutal to me in the reading department. I somehow managed to read three books amongst all of that nonsense and I have no idea how but it happened — but it did.

This book surprised me. Had I saw it in a bookstore I’m not sure I would have picked it up, but I’m so glad I read this book. This was my February Book of the Month pick and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Shrill: Notes From a Loud Woman by Lindy West ★★★★★
This. Book. Damn. I listened to the audiobook as it’s read by West and 10/10 would recommend. I laughed, I cried, I had all of the emotions. This is a book I needed and a book I wished I would have read sooner.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas ★★★★★
Speaking of books I should have read sooner. Wow, what a read. I can’t believe I waited this long to read this gem. Well, I can because of a pesky little thing called library holds. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would because it deserves it.

And that’s it. I had really hoped I would have read more, but ya know, that’s life. March is a long month and I won’t be moving in March so hopefully I can get to a few more. I will also do a 2019 Reading List & Goals check in as part of my monthly wrap up next month, so stay tuned.

Thanks! So far, it’s been so so. I just can’t seem to get into any books. I’ll start something and lose interest very quickly. Boo.

I’m with you–the massive/record amount of snow we got in Michigan was super depressing. I didn’t have the energy or motivation to do anything! I only read three books as well. March is reading month, though, so I’ll use that as an excuse to read more!
Well you guys have waaaaaaaay too much snow. Like an obscene amount of snow, ha! I’m hoping March is better for me as well. We’ll see though.
